Happy 21st Birthday to Me and Coconut Ice!

I turned 21 yesterday. Now I want to be 18 again. But when I was 18 I wanted to be 16 again so don't pay any attention to me.

I didn't have a big celebration as its too close to everyone's exams especially mine :(. I went for dinner instead with Dan at Ezard. The food was UNBELIEVABLE. The chef knows what he's doing, for sure! The service was impeccable as well. Everything about the place was wonderful (except the price). Definitely a place for special occasions.

My half-eaten Honeycrunch Ice-cream which was supposed to look like this.

Coconut Ice Salt Bars fragranced with Island Coconut from Brambleberry. By the way I don't know if I mentioned this but you can get Brambleberry fragrances from Aussie Soap Supplies if you're aussie ;).

Success at last with the salt bars. I used 100% coconut oil at 20% superfat and stick blended to a very thick trace then added fine sea salt, its weight in oils.

I know I've been away for long and I apologise. I've let my regular readers down. I promise to try and post more regularly.

Elizabeth from Gassner Custom Soaps sent me a little surprise in the mail for participating in a contest on her blog. I'll let you guys know what it is soon ;). It smells yummy!!!

I'm going to go stalk my favourite blogs now! Hehe!!

Happy Birthday! I wish I was 25 again ... that seemed like a good age to me so I'm pretty sure your best is yet to come.

Happy Birthday!!

I LOVE your pink salt bars. I should give that a try. How does doing the 100% coconut help?

OOOOOO.....Gotta get me a coconut salt bar! I've been seeing them left and right, but these look fabulous!
And happy B-day! There is a restaurant around here that has delicious deserts (the tiramisu gave me a buzz! Seriously).

Happy Birthday!

Your soap is beautiful! How does it lather? I have a bar from someone that is 100% coconut (don't know the superfat), but I've used it in the shower and haven't been impressed with the lather. :( I might add that I have soft water too!

Michelle,
Happy Birthday to you. 21 that was all a blur to me. I did way too much then.

Your salt bars look great. Good Job. :)

Happy birthday. Miche! You are cute as a button, and so so young. I am 38 - almost 39 and I miss the youth, the taught skin, the perky everything. I can tell you one thing, I like myself so much better now. Enjoy 21, because one day you'll be 40 and wonder what 21 was like.

Gigi: Thank you Gigi! You say the sweetest things! I'm not sure I deserve them *hugs* :)

Heather: Thanks Heather! I can't wait to see what beautiful soaps you make!

Sarah: Thanks Sarah! The dessert was absolutely delicious!

Trisha: Thanks Trisha! I have tried some! The lather was definitely different to what I'm used to with regular soap. Creamy like a lotion.

Anne-marie: Thanks Anne-marie! *hugs* :)

Heidi: Thanks Heidi! Apparently a soap made with 100% coconut oil is the only soap to lather in sea water. I read in a forum somewhere that the coconut oil is to help the salt bar with the lather!

Elizabeth: I love tiramisu! I used to despise them as a child for some reason. Thanks Elizabeth! :)

Sherrie: Thank you Sherrie! I did have a great day :)

Amy Warden: Hi Amy! The lather is creamy with a sort of lotiony feel. This is common among salt bars. Is this what you're getting?

Diana: Thanks Diana! *hugs*

Joanna: Thanks Joanna! Hehe, you make me smile! Well, I hope to be as pretty and successful as you are when I turn 40 :)

Nea: Haha, thanks Nea! That's sweet of you to say :)
